House Portraits Information

House Portraits has been in existence for nearly twenty years. Over the years it has been Nancy's honor to be selected to draw and paint a wide variety of homes. The majority of her work has been done for realtors in the Peachtree City and Fayette County areas. She has also been commissioned to draw or paint historic family homes, sentimental homesteads, churches and business structures.
A wide variety of examples are displayed to show the variety of architectural styles, and building materials, with each home a unique statement of style, texture and color. From this array of work, perhaps you can best envision what your own home style will look like. You will need to supply clear and detailed photos of your home, church, or building.
Photos, snap shots or digital photos should include the following specifications:

• The angle the shot is taken from is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Please line up your favorite angle. If the house has columns or a front porch, be careful that the door and or windows are centered exactly the way you want them painted. She will be projecting this image onto the paper, and then taking it to her drawing table for additional measurements and refinement before she starts the drawing or painting.
• Include several angles. Position yourself directly opposite the front door for one shot. Then take five to ten steps to each side for further information.
• Take close up shots of details: front doors, any leaded glass or stained glass detail, any special molding or ornamentation.
• If you want to add seasonal color, please add a written description of plants and color. For example: If you normally have pink impatiens blooming and want those depicted, just note that.
• Cars or trash cans will be eliminated if they appear in the picture, but be sure that they don't obstruct details needed for the house portrait.

House Portraits Pricing
Prices given are for most standard orders. Obviously due to time involved prices will be higher for very elaborate homes, churches or buildings.

Pen and ink drawing: $ 180.
Watercolor (with pen & ink for detail): $ 280.
